The President invited the Head of the capital's administration Oleg Dovgopol and the Head of EnergoRemStroy LLC Dmitry Dobrov to presidential executve office. They discussed the improvement of the leisure part of the botanical garden. It was noted that the research sector of the arboretum will not be lost during the reconstruction. Its functionality and content are preserved. The walking and entertainment segment is being upgraded. Zoning is indicated on the visualized projects presented to the PMR President. The area is currently being cleared. Increased attention has been paid to the irrigation system, considering that the well-maintained park will retain its "green" specificity. It will be combined: it is planned to use river water and artesian water. The 76 meters deep well will allow not only uninterrupted watering of plantings all year round, but also provide water to two lakes that will appear in the arboretum. Artificial reservoirs will be shallow – 2 meters, but pleasure boats or catamarans are expected to move along it. The lakes will be connected by an arcuate bridge. The project has rotundas and wooden gazebos. Pedestrian paths will be different: some will be covered with paving slabs, others will remain with a natural surface. Separate areas will be allocated for lavender and tulip fields. Taking into consideration that the flowering period of these plants is short, seasonal flowers are thought out, which will replace lavender and tulips. Particular attention will be paid to meadow grasses. Children's playground will be obligatory equipped. Two entrances are equipped for the convenience of visitors to the arboretum. Parking will be provided. It is important to decorate the outer perimeter of the botanical garden with colorful flowers in order to draw the attention of citizens to the object, the President noted during the meeting. The interlocutors expressed confidence that the botanical garden would become a favorite recreational area for residents and guests of Tiraspol. Improvement is expected to be phased. The project implementation period is 2022-2025.
