Vadim Krasnoselsky invited the Head of the Slobodzeya state administration, the regional architect and specialists who will be responsible for the execution of the stone elements of the renovated Kitskany bridgehead memorial to a working discussion. The meeting participants prepared visualized design developments. An important component of the complex will be informative granite canvases, as well as panoramas with thematic images made of the same material. The President insisted on their presence. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that such objects should not only generally remind of a significant historical event, but also perform an informational function.
The design options and placement of new objects, the sizes and materials from which they will be made were discussed in the course of the meeting. They focused on the issue of landscaping the observation deck. They also talked about the timing of the project. There is an idea to complete the bulk of the work by the 78th anniversary of the Iasi-Chisinau operation – in August of this year. So far, these are only plans, but the meeting participants consider it feasible, if force majeure circumstances do not interfere. A longer-term proposal to build a chapel on the territory of the complex was also considered.
The draft will be adjusted taking into account the recommendations voiced by the President today. The sketches of granite paintings are in progress. The information that will be reflected in the text and pictorial parts is being finalized: the information is checked by specialized specialists. The renewed Kitskany bridgehead will in the future be included in the historical and tourist museum route dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Important thematic locations are thought out in the structure of the museum quarter, which will soon appear in the center of the Pridnestrovian capital.
