According to the information announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 2648 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 currently. 939 of them are being treated in specialized hospitals. 132 hospital beds are occupied in the hospital of Slobodzeya at the moment, 136 in Rybnitsa, 102 in Dubossary, 293 in the city hospital of Bendery, 11 on the basis of the Center for Mother and Child in Bendery, 286 in the coronavirus unit of the Republican Clinical Hospital, a specialized hospital at the site of the veterans hospital has been closed. 18 wards are being treated on the basis of the psychiatric hospital in the village of Vykhvatintsy and 51 prisoners are being treated at the hospital on the basis of penitentiary institution number 1. The workload of the hospital network as a whole is currently 58.5%. It is hard to tolerate coronavirus for 209 people, 30 are patients in intensive care units, three patients are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. 1658 Pridnestrovians are being treated at home. 104 such patients needed hospitalization in the period from 21 to 27 February. The number of children infected with coronavirus is 35 people (65 minors were sick a week earlier). The incidence among schoolchildren was reduced by 22%, among preschool children by 41%. The overall reduction in the incidence rate in the republic compared to the data of a week ago is 44%.
5909 biomaterial samples of citizens suspected of having an infection were examined during the week (470098 for the entire time of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 1753 cases. The average daily incidence is 250 (446 a week earlier). 107128 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic in total. 2109 carriers of the virus or 2% of those who fell ill died (24 deaths per week), 102371 people or 95.6% of those infected coped with the disease (3306 recovered during the reporting week). 1435 Pridnestrovians are in conditions of mandatory self-isolation.
948 Pridnestrovians completed a full course of vaccination during the reporting period. Totally, 141658 people or 37% of the adult population were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic. The vaccination campaign continues. There are 2760 doses of Pfizer, 22568 - Sinovac, 21400 - Moderna, 720 - AstraZeneca, 32690 with the first component of "Sputnik V" and 35410 with the second.
Summing up the results of the next meeting of the Operational Headquarters, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted a steady decline in the incidence rate, which indicates that the current wave of the spread of COVID-19 has subsided. At the same time, the President emphasized that negative scenarios for the further development of the situation cannot be ruled out, aiming at the readiness to promptly respond to its changes.
