Tiraspol, November 22 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Sheriff midfielder Sebastien Thill gave an interview to the Champions League magazine before the return match against the Real Madrid. The Luxembourg legionary shared some important thoughts.

About his goal at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium

“I did an incredible thing. When I hit the ball, I immediately knew how it would fly, and then it was at the gate. I don’t think that anyone even dares to desire it. We’ve achieved something remarkable that day.”

About his tattoo on the leg, which he was got in Tiraspol

“I’ve always desired a tattoo that would associate with football and me. About two or three months ago, I asked myself, “What can I do and what do I want to do?” Every child dreams of the Champions League. I adopted the Champions League as well as titles and performances for the national team of my country as a specific goal. I’m indelibly etched in history as the first player from Luxembourg to score a goal in the Champions League. It was my tattoo project which reflected my cherished dream.”

About football in Luxembourg

“I’m not a player who scores goals in every match, I’m not an attacker. But this’s the Champions League, so I’m trying to do my best. I scored goals, but while the team won, nobody cares about the fact who scores. In Luxembourg we are semi-professionals. We work during the day and train in the evening. So that it’s even better for me, it’s quite unusual.”

About Sheriff in the Champions League

“I’m working hard daily to achieve maximum results. This seems like we’re living in a dream. Every player with the club dreamed about the Champions League. And we’ve achieved this. Of course, we want to make this as far as possible, and we’ll try to do our best for this.”

Sebastien Thill scored the winning goal in Sheriff's first match against Real Madrid (by a score of 1-2) and went down in history as the first Luxembourgish footballer to score in the Champions League group stage.
On Wednesday, November 24, the Tiraspol club will play a return battle against the royal football club. The 5th round match of the Champions League group stage will take place at the main arena in Tiraspol. The starting whistle will blow at 22:00.
