Rybnitsa celebrated the 393rd anniversary of the first mention in chronicles. The festive atmosphere is felt literally from the entrance to the city. The city name days fall on Mikhailov day. This saint is the patron saint of Rybnitsa. A stele was installed in honor of him for the holiday. City celebrations began with its grand opening. The President took part in the ceremony. Vadim Krasnoselsky arrived in the north of the republic with his wife.
The sculpture is majestic: the stele is 20 meters high, five of which is the statue of the Archangel Michael. The saint is depicted with outstretched wings, symbolizing the protection of the city. The idea of creating a symbolic sculpture-amulet belongs to the clergy of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese. Archbishop Sawa held a festive service at the stele today. He presented awards for participation in the implementation of the project to the Head of the Rybnitsa District State Administration Viktor Tyagai and the Head of the local branch of the BTI Gennady Glushkov.
The President expressed gratitude to the initiators and everyone who was involved in the creation and installation of the stele, wishing that the patron saint would protect every resident of Rybnitsa and all guests of the city on the birthday.
The festive events were continued by the service in the Rybnitsa Church of the Archangel Michael.
