Tiraspol, November 15. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A batch of Sputnik V vaccine in the amount of 100 thousand doses is in the Russian warehouse. Yet the shipment is delayed due to the lack of Moldovan documentation allowing the import.

On October 27, the Ministry of Health of the PMR sent a corresponding statement and a full package of accompanying documents to the Chisinau Agency for Medicines confirming that the expected batch of vaccine is intended for immunization of the population free of charge - without a commercial component, the presidential press service said.

The established two-week period for consideration of such applications has expired. On November 9, this issue was raised at a meeting of the specialized expert group within the framework of the negotiation process. But there is no progress yet.

PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs to actively participate in solving this problem, to inform Russian colleagues and participants of the 5 + 2 format about the current situation. If the Moldovan side deliberately delays the registration of permits, there is a risk of expiration of the drug shelf life, which has been allocated by Pridnestrovie as humanitarian aid to combat the spread of coronavirus.

During Vadim Krasnoselsky's visit to Moscow, an agreement was reached on the allocation of 200 thousand doses of vaccine to Pridnestrovie for 100 thousand citizens. The delivery will be carried out in two stages, 100 thousand doses each. This division is due, among other things, to the limited shelf life of the drug.
