Tiraspol, October 21 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Football Museum of the Calci Association is situated in the Milan center. Its curator, the Italian reporter Francesco Zema is proud of the latest acquisitions, among which there are a yellow and black Sheriff uniform and a T-shirt of the Avangard mini-football club.
According to Francesco Zema, “this red T-shirt was presented to me by my colleagues from the First Pridnestrovian TV Channel before the match at San Siro stadium. We met them during my recent visit to Tiraspol. I watched the game in yellow and black uniform (a gift from the Tiraspol club). I was rooting for the Sheriff team.”
Every T-shirt will be stored in the Milan Museum. The collection already contains uniforms of such Pridnestrovian iconic football clubs as Iskra from Rybnitsa, Tigina from Bendery, the Tiraspol Dynamo-Auto and others. Every exhibit was collected by Francesco while working on his book about the Tiraspol Sheriff and Pridnestrovie generally. By the way, the yellow-blacks’ T-shirt settled into the Calci house-museum a long time before the Pridnestrovian club success in the Champions League.
“I have had a FC Sheriff shirt for a long time. Once I brought it from Tiraspol. And after the Tiraspol residents’ furor at the Santiago Bernabeu, this T-shirt became one of the most popular at the last festival. Children were photographed with it. They’ve already knew who the Sheriff was,” Francesco Zema explains.
The first Sheriff T-shirt in the Milan museum belongs to Sergei, who is the own brother of the football dynasty representative Alexander Pashchenko, the Sheriff goalkeeping coach. The midfielder played for Sheriff in the mid-2000s, and then in the period from 2012 to 2014. He was surprised by the news that the T-shirt with his name as well as number 89 was in an Italian museum.
“First time I’ve heard about it. I haven’t even known about it. The fact is that, as far as I remember, such T-shirts haven’t even on sale,” Alexander Pashchenko noted.
The museum head, Francesco Zema strongly believes that the football uniform glorifies Tiraspol, but the Sheriff success in the Champions League makes Pridnestrovie be more attractive for tourists.
