According to the information announced at the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus, 425 Pridnestrovians are carriers of COVID-19 at the moment. 150 of them are being treated at home, 275 – in two infectious diseases hospitals, the total workload of which is 65% (174 beds (57%) – in the Slobodzeya hospital, 101 (84%) – in the Rybnitsa hospital). 22 carriers of the virus from August 16 till August 22were transferred from home to hospital treatment. 39 people, or 22% of the total number of citizens currently hospitalized, are seriously affected by the coronavirus, 9 are patients of intensive care units, one is connected to artificial lung ventilation device. 247 Pridnestrovians are in self-isolation at home.
2602 samples of biomaterials of citizens with suspected infection were examined during the week (259988 during the entire period of the pandemic). The fact of the disease in the reporting period was confirmed in 308 cases. The average daily incidence is 44 cases (36 a week earlier). 51753 cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic totally. 1265 carriers of the virus – 2.4% of cases - died (three deaths during the week), 50063 people or 97% of those infected coped with the disease (270 recovered during the reporting week).
4863 Pridnestrovians underwent a full course of vaccination from 16 to 22 August. 85783 people in total or 22.4% of the population have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the republic.
