Tiraspol, August 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Alexander Tufanyuk, a trainee of the Bendery Sports School for Rowing, took part in the Russian Rowing Championship. The competition took place on August 13-15 in Moscow at the Krylatskoye Olympic rowing canal.
Twenty-eight athletes were named in the academic single boat competitions. Successful performance in the very first preliminary race saved the Pridnestrovian athlete from the need to overcome the qualifying and semifinal stages and gave him the right to getting into the final. In the decisive race, Alexander Tufanyuk drove into the finish line second and won a silver medal, the website of the PMR State Service for Sports reports.
In the competition on lightweight single boats, there were fewer participants - 12 boats. The athlete of Bendery masterfully won the semifinals. He as easily outstripped all his competitors in the final race outwardly, having won the gold champion medal.
