The Commander-in-Chief of the PMR Armed Forces presented diplomas to the best graduates of the Military Institute

The military department at the university, the military training faculty, the Military Institute - over its 28-year history, the educational institution subordinate to the Ministry of Defense today has gone through several stages of formation. 

It has been functioning as university for 13 years. The current graduation is the tenth. The military institute is different from a civilian higher education institution. The first two years of study count as conscription service. Cadets are supported by the state throughout the entire period of training. Third and fourth year students receive a salary as contract servicemen. Everyone receives “C” category driver's license. The graduates leave the university with the rank of lieutenant.

A solemn ceremony of presentation of documents on graduation from the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic named after Lieutenant General A.I. Lebed today at the capital's Memorial of Glory.

The Commander-in-Chief of the PMR Armed Forces Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the event. Addressing the graduating officers, the President noted that they have chosen not the easiest way of life, but this is truly man choice. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the positive transformations of the Pridnestrovian army, assuring that he would do everything in his power to continue. Vadim Krasnoselsky also focused on the continuity in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Pridnestrovie.  

The President congratulated the graduates, expressed gratitude to the commanders and teachers of the Military Institute, as well as to the relatives and friends of young officers for their support.
