The issue of the imperfection of the existing norms in the field of public procurement was raised in the course of recent meeting of the President with the leadership and deputies of the Dubossary city district council, village and settlement councils of the district,. The discussion was initiated by the Head of the Novo-Komissarovka Administration Irina Chaban. She outlined the problem that all local managers face: the need to carry out the entire range of tender procedures even with minimal spending, which naturally nullifies the concept of the promptness of solving current problems and does not allow in working order to perform work that is relevant at particular point in time. Vadim Krasnoselsky invited Irina Chaban, as well as the district leadership to the meeting under the President.
Representatives of all administrations and city district councils, as well as the PMR Government and the Supreme Council of the PMR joined the discussion of the issue via videoconference. It was noted that the current version of the law has been in effect since the beginning of this year. According to the government and parliamentarians, the problem is not in the content, but in the implementation of its provisions on the ground. Various arguments were voiced today, but they did not come to a common opinion. The President instructed the Chairman of the PMR Government to hold an extended meeting on this issue with the participation of all interested officials in order to jointly understand the details of the current mechanism, identify possible discrepancies in legal norms, provide advice to colleagues if necessary, or initiate amendments to the legislation.
