The road traffic incident in the village of Karagash was discussed at the meeting under the President

Vadim Krasnoselsky during the working meeting expressed condolences to the family of a child who died in the road accident on May 30. The President called the incident a tragedy. He instructed the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor's Office of the PMR to personally monitor the investigation, stressing that he will keep the proceedings under control.

The President reminded that they have toughened legislation in relation to those who drive a vehicle while intoxicated and as a result of a road traffic accident takes the life of one person or more. Criminal liability for violation of traffic rules and the operation of vehicles was noticeably increased on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky, supported by the relevant departments and the deputy corps three years ago.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted today that other disciplinary and preventive measures are needed, which will help prevent tragedies on the roads. He drew attention to the fact that the driver of the vehicle, who, according to preliminary data provoked an accident in Karagash was drunk. The investigation will establish what the intoxication was – alcoholic or narcotic. It is reliably known at the same time that earlier this citizen was prosecuted for non-medical use of drugs of narcotic action.

Vadim Krasnoselsky said that he would initiate the introduction of appropriate amendments to the current legislation.
