Bendery, April 8. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, the Joint Control Commission was unable to meet with its full form again. The Moldovan side informed that it would not be able to take part in the work of the governing body of the peacekeeping operation. The meeting was held in the format of a meeting. The Russian and Pridnestrovian delegations heard information about the current situation in the Security Zone; an exchange of views took place on topical issues of peacekeeping.

As the Co-Chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie, Oleg Belyakov, noted that a number of issues remain unresolved at present.

“We expect that we will be able to hold a full-fledged meeting with the participation of all parties in the near future. More than 30 issues have accumulated on the agenda. Among them there are many reports of the JMC, which should be taken into account. Also, we cannot complete the rotation,” the Co-Chairman stated.

The Pridnestrovian side issued a statement in which it expressed concern about the gross violation of the basic documents of the JCC by the Bendery Police Inspectorate employees.

“A citizen of Pridnestrovie Paskar Alexander Vasilyevich, born in 1995, living in the village of Parkani, Slobodzeya Region, arrived at the police station of the Republic of Moldova on March 22, 2021, located at the address: Bendery, st. Dzerzhinsky, 44. However, he have not returned to his home. As it became known, after visiting the police, Paskar A.V. was taken by Moldovan policemen to the territory of the Republic of Moldova from the city of Bendery. Thus, the Pridnestrovian citizen was abducted and secretly taken out to the territory of Moldova,” the document says.

Note that in accordance with the current agreements, the police and militia carry out their functions of protecting law and order and combating crime in the Security Zone by territoriality. At the same time, in the city of Bendery, which is part of an area with a high security regime, the protection of public order and the fight against crime are carried out by joint forces of the law enforcement agencies of the parties by mutual agreement.

“Unfortunately, since the creation of the JOIG - a body formed by the JCC, some of its employees, being representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, often commit gross violations of Pridnestrovian citizens` rights in the area with a high security regime (in the city of Bendery), including by detaining them, arresting them , bringing to legal responsibility according to the norms of the legislation of Moldova, which does not apply to the territory of Pridnestrovie, as well as secret abductions of people and taking them out to the territory of Moldova,” the members of the Pridnestrovian delegation state.

The Pridnestrovian side calls on the Moldovan colleagues to clarify this incident and inform about the PMR citizen`s whereabouts.
