Year of Youth Logo Meaning

Designer Anastasia Rodionova explained what implication she included in her project

Tiraspol, January 12. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In late December, the best Year of Youth logo competition of the year 2021 was completed. At the time the work of Anastasia Rodionova, a graduate of the Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University, was among 200 sketches. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky announced her as the winner.

Designer Anastasia Rodionova in an interview with the Novosti Pridnestrovya news agency told, that she had learned about the competition only 10 days until its completion. It took several days to come up with the design, and a few more for its realization.

“In the beginning, I created three widely different minimalistic logos. Each of them was modern and characterized by its own send. It was hardly to choose among them the best one. I gave the right of choice to my family and friends They voted and thus helped to choose the right one”, the designer admitted.

But the logo color-grade was determined at once: Anastasia settled on the colors of the Pridnestrovian flag.

“I wanted to emphasize with the color-grade, that it is exactly the Pridnestrovian youth: purposeful, developing, active, promising. Young people’s unification, who working as a team, their movement and development are personified by the flag-ribbon. For someone this ribbon may be associated with the Dniester bends. That will also be correct,” the author explains.

At the moment, Anastasia Rodionova is improving her knowledge in the graphic and printing design in Moscow.

“The winning in the logo competition is the first competition I participated in and my first victory. It’s recognized, that a graphic designer is really happy only when sees his implemented work. So, I’m incredibly happy and proud, that my logo will be placed on souvenir gifts and outdoor advertisements over a year throughout Pridnestrovie,” the winner admitted. Besides the diploma Anastasia also received a cash prize.

It should be noted, that totally about 200 works were submitted for the logo competition, 24 of which made it into the final. Among the participants there were as well as school students and professional designers from 10 to 65 years old.
