Declared the Year of Health in Pridnestrovie the year 2020 is coming to end, but the activities aimed at strengthening the health of citizens continue. In this context, increased attention is paid to the development of sports throughout the year - sports grounds, gyms, swimming pools and other sports infrastructure are being built, renovated, re-equipped. One of them is the Rowing Sports Center, opened in the summer in Bendery after a global reconstruction initiated by the President. The material and technical equipment is being gradually updated: in addition to the new simulators installed by the time the facility was put into operation, a set of additional sports equipment was purchased at the expense of the Capital Investment Fund. The boat fund was replenished and modernized. Today, the President officially handed over ten single kayaks manufactured by PLASTEX, the leader in the small craft market, to the athletes. The boats are made of high-strength composite materials, which makes them more stable and faster, the participants of the ceremony noted. They also talked about the fact that they still had to practice kayaking, which is more than three decades old.
Vadim Krasnoselsky, addressing the administration, coaching staff and students of the center, called the acquisition of new Olympic-class boats a significant event. The President said that the implementation of this project became possible thanks to the active participation of the Head of the State Service for Sports of the PMR Vyacheslav Sokolenko and the financial support of the Russian businessman Igor Chaika. The President spoke about further plans for development of rowing in the republic: opportunities are found to update the boat park of rowing bases in Dubossary and Rybnitsa.
The President expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the national program for development of sports and physical culture.
Vadim Krasnoselsky witnessed the official launching of new kayaks, examined the equipped premises of the center, talked with the administration of the base, athletes, as well as builders erecting a new boathouse.
