Dubossary, November 29. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. 25 polling stations have opened in Dubossary today: 12 ones in the city and 13 in the villages of the district. At 3 p.m., 7,375 people voted in the Dubossary Region, which is 25.25% of the total number of voters.

As always, the most active were residents of the villages of Doibany-2, Dubovo and Goyany, where 37% of voters had voted by that time. The townspeople were active at polling stations No. 80 (located on 46a Frunze Street) and No. 78 (located in the building of School No. 4 on 151 Lenin Street).

Poll watchers from candidates for deputies are observing the course of voting. Sergey Muratov, a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, also got acquainted with the conduct of the election procedure in Dubossary.

This is not the first time a Russian industrialist, statesman and party leader, senator of the Russian Federation, representative from the Kurgan Regional Duma, has been in Dubossary. He spent his childhood here, and today he was pleased to visit the city, which his best memories are associated with.

“Dubossary is my second homeland. I used to come here in the summer to visit my relatives: grandparents, two aunts. I spent a lot of time in Dubossary, had many friends here. I like Dubossary a lot, and I really love it and I love Pridnestrovie,” Sergey Muratov, a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation said.

The Russian Senator began his visit to Dubossary with a visit to the local All Saints Cathedral.

“I am an Orthodox man. I pay a lot of attention to this. I am now building the third temple in the city of Kurgan. Today I met the rector of the Dubossary Cathedral, and it was enjoyable experience. I can tell this person deeply cares for people. The Orthodox Church has always been an example of self-sacrifice and patriotism for people,” Sergey Muratov says.

Having visited the polling stations in Dubossary, the representative of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation noted that the elections were organized at a decent level and safety precautions were observed everywhere to counter the spread of coronavirus infection.

“I am impressed by the activity of the Dubossary people. There are queues at the polling stations. First of all, people keep their distance, everyone is wearing their masks and gloves. Secondly, here is a warm atmosphere. This is a small town, you can feel inspiration and spiritual rise. People choose their future. I wish Dubossary and Pridnestrovian residents well-being, since this means the development of the economy,” Sergey Muratov stressed.
