COVID statistics

The actual information on the incidence of COVID-19 was announced in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. 9080 cases of infection were detected in Pridnestrovie. There are 1930 patients in quarantine hospitals of the republic. Another 30 infected Pridnestrovians are being treated at the Tiraspol psycho-neurological boarding house. 26 patients of hospitals in serious condition are in intensive care units, two are connected to mechanical ventilation devices. 226 people are awaiting the results of PCR testing in hospital settings. The occupancy rate of second-level COVID hospitals is 76% (including additional beds deployed at the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School).

70464 samples of biomaterials were taken for analysis for the entire time of the pandemic in Pridnestrovie. 3269 of these were taken over the past four days - in 781 cases, COVID-19 infection was confirmed. 7 patients died, 435 were discharged after successful completion of treatment during the same period. Totally, 189 patients of infectious diseases hospitals died in the republic (mortality rate 2%). 6183 Pridnestrovians (68%) coped with the disease. 1485 citizens are in self-isolation at their place of residence.

The Memorial to the Victims of Fascism has been reopened in Dubossary after reconstruction. It is located on the site where more than 18000 civilians were executed in the fall of 1941.
