The state flags are raised on the central square of the capital

Not only the republic, but also its state symbols - the coat of arms and the flag celebrate its birthday today. They were approved on September 2, 1991. Since then, raising the State Flag has been an integral part of the festive events of the republican level. Among them there is the Republic Day. To the sounds of the anthem of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, canvases soared on flagpoles located not far from the monument to Generallisimus Suvorov, the founder of the Pridnestrovian capital, the city of Tiraspol. The solemn raising of the State flags was watched by the PMR President, the Heads of the state authorities, residents and guests of the republic, who arrived at the main city square to celebrate the anniversary of the Pridnestrovian statehood.

Next to the raised canvases, symbolizing the triumph of independence, peace and freedom of the Pridnestrovian people, the flags of the cities and regions of Pridnestrovie, as well as the friendly PMR states - Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Nagorno-Karabakh, fly on small flagpoles.
