Tiraspol, December 25./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. By the order of the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky, from December 28, 2019, to January 15, 2020, a simplified procedure for the PMR state border crossing will be introduced in order to increase the capacity at checkpoints on the days of New Year and Christmas holidays. The document is published on the official website of the Head of the State.
The Ministry of State Security will open temporary checkpoints for citizens and vehicles in addition to the existing ones within the time of operation agreed by the parties in the following directions:
- Vadul Turcului – Scherschenzi;
- Valea Adîncă – Zahnitkiv;
- Plopi – Cruteni;
- Vinogradnoe – Novi Butorî;
- Hrushka – Nemîrivka;
- Krasnyi Oktiabr – Vertiujeni;
- Rașcov – Vadul-Raşcov;
- Ţîbulivka – Ţehanivka;
- Teiu – Calfa.
According to the document, from December 28 to January 15, the crossing of the state border of the PMR will be allowed for the citizens of Pridnestrovie living in the border areas of the Republic, as well as carrying out entry (exit) from adjacent areas of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, on the basis of identity documents, if there is registration at the place of residence in border settlements.
State Customs Service will perform simplified control of goods moved by citizens of the PMR, except for those intended for production and commercial purposes, as well as except cases of attempts to move prohibited objects through the state border.
The Ministry of State Security will carry out simplified control against citizens of the PMR, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and the Russian Federation, who consists in checking identity documents solely for the validity and ownership of documents to a person crossing the border.
“Citizens of other states not specified in this order across the state border of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in accordance with the procedure established by the current legislation, and the simplified procedure established by this order does not apply to them,” the document says.
The MSS will also ensure unimpeded passage when crossing the state border of the PMR of motor vehicles registered on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic belonging to citizens of the PMR (without carrying out measures to account for motor vehicles).
