Tiraspol, December 20./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In Pridnestrovie Moldovans retain their identity – the PMR cultivates the real Moldovan language, while in Moldova the native language is replaced by Romanian, the President of the PMR noted during the final press conference.
“If Pridnestrovie does not preserve it, there would be no Moldovan language. In Moldova, there is a history of Romanians, not even the history of Romania, but the history of Romanians and Romanian – not Moldovan – language. They stole their native language from their people – Moldovan. In fact, in Moldova, the native language is violated. We can accuse the Moldovan side of infringing the Moldovan language, of infringing the Moldovans and prosecuting them on the national grounds. Thanks to Pridnestrovie, Moldovans retain their identity because the language forms traditions and culture,” Vadim Krasnoselskiy stressed.
He also reminded that in Pridnestrovie there were more than 30 kindergartens and the same number of schools with Moldovan language of teaching. In addition, there are also separate Romanian schools.
“We have created all conditions for the development of these schools, practically reduced the rent for the operation of these educational institutions, made free movement for teachers and children,” Vladimir Krasnoselskiy explained.
In contrast, Russian schools are closing in Moldova, the Head of the Pridnestrovian state said. «We are forced to take those children who study in Russian by buses to Pridnestrovie. In 2018, Russian was excluded there as a language of interethnic communication,” the President added.
The Head of the State noted that people of 72 nationalities live in Pridnestrovie and together make up the country.
“In the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy, we clearly outlined our state idea. One of the points tells about strengthening of community – the Pridnestrovian people – where many nationalities with their culture, language and so on mixed up. This is the historical truth,” Vadim Krasnoselsky concluded.
