Bendery, December 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, Bendery police awarded letters of appreciation to employees of the city Trolleybus Board who helped arrest criminals.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that the crime occurred at the beginning of the year. At a trolleybus stop in the city center, two men were beating and robbing a man. Screams and noise were heard by Trolleybus Board workers. Domnika Ursu, Natalya Basovskaya and Vitaly Iosip arrested the robber, brandishing his brass knuckles, and helped the victim. Police detained the second criminal, who tried to escape.
“They showed courage and, most importantly, personal involvement in human misfortune. This can be called heroism. They were not afraid to confront criminals and help a person in difficult situations. We could not fail to note such an act,” Dmitry Kargapolov, head of the Bendery Department of Internal Affairs said.
Now the case of robbery committed by a group of persons has been closed. The stolen phone and money were returned to the victim, the criminals were sentenced.
