Tiraspol, December 8. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The European Short-Course Swimming Championships (25 m) concludes today in Glasgow, Scotland. The European Championships are attended by 540 swimmers from 49 countries. The team of Moldova included two strongest athletes: Tatiana Salkutsan from Tiraspol and Tatiana Kishka from Bălți.
The pupil of Tiraspol Swimming School Tatiana Salkutsan acted at three distances in backstroke swimming – 50, 100 and 200 m. In these disciplines, she is the record holder of Moldova.
At 200 m distance, Tatiana Salkutsan showed the 13th result – 2:08.16 min. Before the new record, there was not enough half a second. The winner was Italian Margerita Panziera (2:01.45 min), silver was taken by Ukrainian Darina Zevina and bronze – Dutch Kira Tussen. Athletes are different years champions of Europe. The fourth was Russian Darya Ustinova. Russian swimmers set a number of records in the championship, including the world – in the mixed combined 4x50 m relay.
In the medal competition in the fifth strongest, there are teams of Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary and Great Britain.
On December 20-21 Tatiana Salkutsan and Tatiana Kishka will perform at the last competitions of 2019 – Salnikov Cup in St. Petersburg. At the international tournament on prizes of the Olympic champion swimmers with the high international rating are invited.
For reference: Tatiana Salkutsan is the the international class master of sports, the triple prize-winner of the youth championship of Europe, the prize-winner of Salnikov Cup, the winner of the Youth Olympic Games. She has already won a license for the Tokyo Olympics. It will be the first Olympic Games in the career of the 18-year-old athlete.
