Dubossary, November 25. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Dubossary agricultural Lender Agroprim company - the largest land user of the district – plans to pay more attention to the development of reclamation and vegetable production next year. In the Dubossary district, today six farms are growing vegetables, the total area of vegetable crops is more than 10 hectares of land. «Lender Agroprim» plans to increase it by 50 hectares next year.
“We want to start with potatoes. Try first for the domestic market, then, if demand, for export. We will also grow cabbages, carrots and tomatoes. But for this purpose it is necessary to prepare the irrigation system and buy a refrigerator”, the director of Lender Agroprim Roberto Guardigli said.
Now there are 950 hectares of land under irrigation in the farm and nine irrigation plants have been installed. In 4 years, it is planned to increase the amount of irrigated land to 5000 hectares, as well as to purchase additional irrigation system, sprinklers and other equipment for frontal and drip irrigation. Recently, the agricultural company has bought modern technique for potato planting – a universal mechanism by which both planting and other necessary technical procedures will be carried out at the same time.
According to the businessman, the company again will have to use the preferential loan to restore watering and production of vegetables. Roberto Guardigli hopes for the help of the state.
“If we take a loan of 2.5 million rubles, it will be like a start. To restore reclamation for 5000 hectares it is necessary 5 million euros. This is a large sum, but in order to move forward, it is necessary to master this process gradually. Without irrigation, we will not be able to develop vegetable growing. When there is a good percentage when lending, there is a chance of success for the business. In Pridnestrovie now there are good conditions for development. Earlier there were high rates”, the Italian businessman stressed.
Now the company is conducting a large reconstruction on the basis of the enterprise and is building a second block of the elevator for drying and storage of grain products. The first was built in 201, and then four silos with a capacity of 16 thousand tons of grain were installed. In total, the enterprises want to build eight containers for drying and storage of grain with a total capacity of 32 thousand tons.
The construction of the second part began this year due to the preferential lending – technical credit from the State Reserve Fund of the PMR to support the agro-industrial complex and small enterprises. All works are planned to be completed in June so that the 2020 harvest will be delivered to the new elevator.
