Tiraspol, October 11. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The level of tourism development does not correspond to potential opportunities of the republic. It was said by the Adviser to the President of the PMR, Pavel Prokudin at the opening of the plenary section devoted to tourism development in the second day of the VII Pridnestrovian International Investment Economic Forum.
He noted that among the negative factors affected the development of tourism in our region there had been a collapse of the USSR and armed conflict of 1992.
«Unfortunately, there is still a stereotype about Pridnestrovie as about the territory with armed people on the streets, unsafe zone, where laws do not work. These fakes from 1990th years were extended by our foes. Today, it is very important to dispel these horror stories», - the Adviser to the Head of the state noted.
Pavel Prokudin paid attention that the tourism industry in the world has created more than 137 million jobs, for 38% of the states this type of activity was the main source of income.
«Tourism is a highly profitable industry which contributes to the development of other allied industries, and intensification of this activity is capable to give an impetus to the development of all branches of the national economy. Therefore tourism has to become one of the drivers of the Pridnestrovian economy», - he told.
Prokudin reminded that Pridnestrovie has a historical experience in a part of the development of the tourism sphere. At the time of the USSR there came inhabitants from the most remote regions of the country. That was promoted by a soft climate, an abundance of vegetables and fruits, a large number of cultural and historical monuments.
«Nowadays there are much more occasions to arrive there: there is a number of objects which appeared here in recent years, and the remained unique natural complex. In Pridnestrovie, there are brands: the Bendery Fortress, the Park in the village Chobruchi, the Noul Neamț Monastery in Chiţcani, and many other objects. Pridnestrovie is ready to receive guests in such directions as medical, rural, business tourism. One more direction remains attributes of the Soviet period. In Pridnestrovie there are excellent conditions for hunting and fishing, event tourism is also developed here. Only this year in the Bendery Fortress there took place more than two tens festivals and ahead there are some more», - Prokudin noted.
He emphasized that our republic has enormous potential for tourism development.
«If to add the fact that Pridnestrovie is the multinational, multilingual, friendly, hospitable state where there is one of the lowest crime rates among the Post-Soviet countries, it is possible to draw an unambiguous conclusion: with state support of tourism Pridnestrovie will host numerous tourists!» - Pavel Prokudin concluded.
