Tiraspol, October 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovia/. At the end of September in Republic of Cyprus there was held the I International theater festival “Vakhtangov Theater Actors in Cyprus” in which actors from Pridnestrove participated.
The performance “Lie” based on the Russian author Leonid Andreev’s novel was prepared for the festival. Only three persons participated in it: the president of the International cultural program center from Saint-Petersburg, director and producer Vitaly Kravchenko, the student of the Pridnestrivian state art institute Dmitry Dzhurinsky and the Pridnestrovian theater main director and actor Dmitry Achmadiev.
“We prepared carefully and with great responsibility. And as a result we got good results. Our performance was highly appreciated by jury members, theater critics, and the festival president said that “Lie” was a world premiere” told Dmitry Achmadiev.
The performance was shown in two cities: Nicosia and Limassol. In actors’ plans is to perform it to Pridnestrovian spectators.
Dmitry Achmadiev said that was very thankful for supporting of those who connected with performance art development in Pridnestrovie. “I think we have got good results” – he noted.
Dmitry also told that at the same time with this festival another one was held. It was the short films fest “Cyprus cat”. Alexandra Dragostaiskaya from Tiraspol participated in it.
The film about theater and artists’ off-stage life was filmed in autumn with participation of Pridnestrovian state drama and comedy theater artists.
