Tiraspol, September 11. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships among youth took place on September the 4-10-th in Sofia, Bulgaria. 213 young men and 126 girls 17-18 years old from 37 countries participated in it. Medal events were held in 10 weight categories at young men and girls. Full teams were only from Russia and Ukraine.
The team of Moldova was represented by 7 athletes from Chisinau, Tiraspol, Balti, Hincesti and Briceni. Three athletes: Daniil Slepoy (weight category up to 52 kg, 20 participants), Vladislav Gudz (up to 64 kg, 24 participants) and Darya Kozorez (up to 81 kg, 8 participants) represented the Tiraspol Sports School of Fight and Boxing.
Vladislav Gudz (trainer Maxim Chertykovtsev) became the silver prize-winner. He conceded in the final match to Russian Ilya Shakirov. On the way to the final, Vladislav triumphed over athletes from Lithuania, Finland and Turkey. The athlete passed into youth group this year, earlier he won medals of the European superiority among school students and young men.
Darya Kozorez (trainer Anatoly Akhmadiyev) got bronze. She triumphed over the representative of Hungary, and then had an equal fight with the sportswoman from Turkey – 2:3. The Turkish woman, in turn, bypassed the Ukrainian. And the Englishwoman became the winner. This is the first large achievement of the trainer Anatoly Akhmadiyev in women's boxing.
Daniil Slepoy in starting a fight was stronger than the Pole but then conceded to the Hungarian. As a result, he was in 5th.
One more Tiraspol boxer participates in the World Cup among men. The tournament takes place in Yekaterinburg. Andrey Kiryakov will come to a ring on September the 15-th, in the first round he was free from fights.
