Bendery, June 29. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In the Bendery Fortress, the Festival of Folk Art finished. Once again on the territory of the citadel, thousands of pridnestrovians gathered. There were also lots of tourists who could get acquainted with local customs in details. The traditional life of the different nationalities of Pridnestrovie was recreated on the farmsteads.
Traditions and ceremonies of ancestors were shown by residents of Parkany in the improvised Bulgarian house. Each subject here had a long-term history. For example, the bed which was nearly one and a half centuries old was laid by the sheet weaved manually. The drawing on it was embroidered with a special Bulgarian cross, one of the organizers of the farmstead Carolina Gaydarzhi told.
Once long ago laboriously, stitch by stitch the young girl did embroidery on these sheets and pillowcases. So she prepared her dowry, putting it in a chest.
«We have an initiative youth group which adopts the experience and traditions of our ancestors. We go to elders; they share with us the secrets. We honour the traditions because in Pridnestrovie we are the only Bulgarian village. It is necessary to keep our traditions and to transfer them to the next generations», - Carolina Gaydarzhi noted.
Young people got acquainted, sitting on a painted bench. And young men and girls were in traditional Bulgarian dresses in which red and yellow colors prevail. It is a fertility symbol.
Traditional Casa Mare was presented on the Moldavian farmstead. The teacher of the Moldavian language of the Bendery School No.15 Nina Broslavskaya told that for the Moldavian people this room was of particular importance. This place for the main life events. Even not always cheerful. All objects in the Casa Mare are made by hands of hosts. For example, the Moldavian carpets with a flower ornament are weaved by the woman, and the chest, the table and chairs are made strong male hands.
The Ukrainian farmstead was made by objects of the past: a distaff which is more than century old, chests and trough. Bench hammers and bed linen are embroidered in ancient Ukrainian traditions.
The Union of the Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie also participated in the festival, having presented two photo zones in the national style.
«People come here with children, make photos, take ribbons, badges, bagels. They like everything. We participate in such action for the first time. It is very interesting», - the Russian Communities Union of Pridnestrovie chairman Viorika Kokhtareva told.
The concert marathon became a separate part of a holiday. More than ten on-stage performance groups from all parts of Pridnestrovie took part in it. There were the state folk music and dance ensemble «Viorika», the Honored municipal art group «Folk Music and Dance Ensemble «Vatra», Honored municipal song and dance ensemble «Priyeteniya».
«Today we tried to bring together the brightest folk groups of our state. National culture is the soul of Pridnestrovie, its heartbeat and unity», - the chief of the State Service on Culture and Historical Heritage Maria Kyrmyz emphasized.
The performance was vigorous; all participants danced and had fun.
Besides, during the festival arts and crafts exhibitions sales worked. There were presented works of handymen from all over Pridnestrovie. Here the storyteller and the master of an interior toy Maya Karacheban filled up the collection with new characters: Goldfish and Wise Gudgeon.
And this is Alexander Evtodiyenko from the village Teiu. Having learned to spin different products from a vine many years ago, today he trained this skill to children. The objects prepared for the festival are products of their joint creativity.
«There is a wish to share knowledge, to pass on the experience to make the young generation owners of this craft too», - Alexander says.
The Festival of a Folk Art passed the baton to the following event which will take place in the Fortress on July 7. It will be devoted to Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
