Tiraspol, June, 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On the First Pridnestrovian TV Channel, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselski commented on the statement of the President of Moldova Igor Dodon that he did not exclude destabilization of the situation in the region. The head of state called this statement "just another speculation."
“I do not know what it is aimed at. To make such statements means to cast doubt on the tripartite peacekeeping operation as a whole, where the basic component is Russian, there are Moldovan and Pridnestrovian peacekeepers, as well as observers from Ukraine. In addition, there is the Joint Military Command of the peacekeeping forces, there is the Joint Control Commission. These institutions are designed to monitor the situation, make statements and talk about tension or the lack of tension. These institutions do not make any statements - everything is fine and stable here,” said Vadim Krasnoselski.
The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic called President Dodon’s presumption of destabilization of the situation “inconsistent with reality” and “an attempt to cast a shadow on the peacekeeping operation”.
"This is not good. We have a peacekeeping operation, and it is the most successful. For all 27 years, there have been no serious conflicts. If Mr. Dodon speaks, he must stand by his words. Each word carries certain weight and energy. We need to think about the consequences of such statements. We are not aggressors, we are not going to attack anyone, and we are not going to destabilize either. We can stand up for ourselves, but we will never be the initiators of aggression. I can tell you this for sure,” Vadim Krasnoselski concluded.
