Tiraspol, May 23. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The football club «Sheriff» became the owner of the Cup of Moldova. The final match with «Sfântul Gheorghe» from Suruceni took place the night before at Zimbru stadium in Chisinau.
The main time of a match ended with zero on a board. But in the first additional half, Leandro Ribeiro scored after Cristiano da Silva's cross.
Thus, «Sheriff» won with the score 1:0.
Let's note that «Sheriff» won the Cup of Moldova for the tenth time, and the Croatian trainer Zoran Zekic led «Sheriff» to the victory in this tournament in 2015 too.
This year the trophy was made by masters of five countries. The bowl 65 centimetres and 10 kilograms is made of bronze and silver and covered with 24-karat gold. The cup is passing, names of all owners will be on it.
Let's remind that on May 26 «Sheriff» will play against FC Milsami from Orhei in the Moldovan National Division match.
