MOLDOVA PARTY BLOCKED THE ADOPTION OF THE JMC REPORT AGAIN

Bendery, February, 21. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During today's meeting of the peacekeeping operation governing body, a new military observer from the Republic of Moldova was confirmed in office. The parties heard a briefing from the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone, but representatives of Chisinau refused to take it into account.

This situation was commented by the co-chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Oleg Belyakov in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya.

“Due to our transparency, the Pridnestrovian side has never hidden anything that occur both in the territory of the Security Zone itself and in the area with an enhanced security regime. For example, there were events in the city of Bendery related to the exercises for civil-military operations. Naturally, this was the subject of military observers. And we see that out of the blue the Moldovan side creates obstacles for the adoption of the report, although it itself carried out the same events at the same time” - Belyakov said.

According to him, the practice of blocking the visits of military observers takes place again.

“In the same period, representatives of Moldova law enforcement agencies, who entered the Security Zone with special means, were arrested. In this regard, it was suggested that military observers should go to the place, but the Moldovan side declined it” - the co-chair stressed.

He emphasized that that behavior of the Republic of Moldova representatives was only surprising and incomprehensible.
