Tiraspol, February, 13. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Government discussed mechanisms for launching the Business Development Fund. The management team of the executive and legislative branches of power, as well as members of the PMR Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie (UIAEP) participated in the meeting.
As already reported by Novosti Pridnestrovya, today Alexander Martynov held an international meeting with specialists from the German consulting company Berlin Economics, who noted an improvement in Pridnestrovie business climate. The press service of the Government notes that the next point of leverage for small and medium-sized enterprises would be the target source for stimulating private initiative, embedded in the ministry funds-2019.
During today's meeting, Deputy Head of Government, Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik told about the Fund capitalizing. Its structure consists of a series of separate programs. One of them is business support and development. It includes “Buy Pridnestrovian” project, the number of events of which is planned to be increased, as well as the functioning of the CCI business school. Once trained, the course leavers will get the opportunity to introduce their drafts, and the best of them will be able to qualify for financial assistance in the form of concessional loans from the State Reserve Fund.
Particular attention will be paid to agriculture. In this part, financing is funded by subsidies to farmers who donate milk for industrial processing to issue loans for the purchase of imported bred heifers of dairy breeds and material for stone fruit gardens establishing.
The third thematic block is the tourism sector and the associated investment attractiveness. Sergei Obolonik reminded that work in this direction began in 2018 with the compilation of tourist passports of cities and regions. In 2019, in order to strengthen the industry's potential, the funds will be used to improve the infrastructure and material and technical base. In order to facilitate the search for sights, appropriate signs will be put in. It is also planned to more closely engage in informing through printed materials publishing, installing panels with tourist routes at customs points, and creating a website “Discover Pridnestrovie” for internal and external tourists.
“It is planned to hold our own international tourist forum with elements of the exhibition-fair. I can say that this forum is supposed to be held at our historical sites, in particular, we are likely to hold it in the stronghold of our Bendery fortress. It is also proposed to develop the tourist brands` design of certain cities and districts of Pridnestrovie” - the Deputy Prime Minister shared.
Sergey Obolonik added that all those activities will be included in the upcoming concept of tourism development in the PMR for 2019-2026.
Taking into account the fact that in order to launch the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, it is necessary to solve legislative nuances, the prime minister suggested organizing a working group that would deal with all legal issues. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Kirov and Sergey Oblonik, Deputies of the Supreme Council, bankers, heads of UIAEP and Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be delegated in it.
“We need to move relatively quickly to start the mechanism, preferably from the second quarter of this year. The issue is very important. We constantly hear about the main problem – a large outflow of young people. All these programs are connected in order to somehow interest our citizens to stay here in Pridnestrovie and try their hands in business” - Alexander Martynov said during the meeting.
As the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Alexander Korshunov, who took part in the meeting stressed, the most important thing is for the Fund to be an effective tool.
By the way, the total expenditure pledged to the target source is 24 million rubles.
