Tiraspol, January, 28. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Last year, there were held 4 meetings of the Advisory Council to the Government on interaction with non-profit organizations (NPO). It should be reminded that this structure appeared in April 2018 in order to include such organizations in the state`s life. Now the Council includes more than a dozen NPOs, whose main activity is related to the social sphere. At the beginning of this year, the list was added by another participant - GLIN Patients' Rights Society.
For the republic, this is a relatively new experience. Non-profit organizations were given the opportunity to discuss problems related to their work at the Government’s site, as well as to resolve issues of interaction with the authorities.
The proposals of NPOs were also taken into account when drafting the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy presented last year in December. In addition, during meetings with members of the Government, there were discussed the issue of broader information coverage of NPOs in the republic and mechanisms for protecting victims of domestic violence.
The initiative to establish such a council belongs to the Government.
Moreover, both council members and those who are not one of them, for example, representatives of public organizations, can participate in these meetings.
