Tiraspol, January, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Yesterday Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva and deputies of the Supreme Council met with Pridnestrovian participants in the consolidated choir of Russia. On New Year's Eve, young choir members of the Bendery School of Art became participants of the traditional annual concert of Russia consolidated choir, which was held in the State Kremlin Palace. Along with young talents from all regions of the Russian Federation, 10 children from Pridnestrovie got the opportunity to sing at the main concert venue of the country.
The parliamentary press service reported that the trip was organized thanks to inter-parliamentary cooperation and support of State Duma deputies representing the interests of Pridnestrovians, Sergey Chizhov and Alexander Yaroshchuk, as well as the Chairman of the Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky.
Irina Shikhanina, head of the delegation and teacher of the Bendery School of Art, honored cultural worker of the PMR, told the parliamentarians about the impressions of the young choir members.
“We were fortunate to participate in this big project. 506 children from all over Russia sang on the stage. Moreover, our delegation was twice as large as all the others. It was very exciting. The program was rich and complex: from Soviet composers to world classics. Our children did well. They endured many hours of rehearsal. For us, this experience is only the beginning. We hope for further cooperation” - the teacher shared her impressions.
The combined choir of Russia performed 16 well-known works. The program included songs by Soviet authors Alexandra Pakhmutova and Isaac Dunaevsky, as well as classics - Bizet, Prokofiev, Glinka, Tchaikovsky. Galina Antyufeeva thanked children for showing restraint and worthy performance.
“We chose the best of the best for this important concert, and we are incredibly proud of you. The world is your oyster. Your voices may sound at different sites. You should always remember that you represent the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” - the vice-speaker instructed the children.
Galina Antyufeeva also noted that soon a branch of the All-Russian Choral Society will be opened in Pridnestrovie, which will allow Pridnestrovian artists to represent the republic at international cultural sites more often. The head of state pays attention to the young and already accomplished talents.
The children were given letters of thanks and souvenirs. Having sung truly Russian “Kalinka-Malinka” for those who honored them, guys demonstrated their performance skills.
