Tiraspol, December, 28. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, the Chairman of the Government, Alexander Martynov, and the head of the Moldovan branch of the Italian company OMP-Group, Gennady Vakar, have concluded an agreement according to which an enterprise for welding wire manufacture will start functioning in the republic.
The project was approved by members of the Investment Council the day before.
“Welcome to Pridnestrovie. On behalf of the Government, I would like to wish you success in your business on the territory of Pridnestrovie. For my part, I will note that all set out in the contract guarantees and preferences will be fulfilled” - the Prime Minister addressed the guest.
In his turn, the investor named several reasons that prompted to enter the economy of the republic. The first one is a favorable business climate and attractive legislative conditions (low taxation and other preferences). The second factor concerns raw materials which the Italian company will provide Rybnitsa MMZ with. The Government press service reports that finished products will enter the European markets.
Initially, the number of jobs created will be about 50 units. “Production will work in three shifts, even on Saturday and Sunday, because there will be electric furnaces that cannot be stopped. And later at the second and the third stage - there will be about 300 people involved” - Gennady Vakar said.
The director of the Investment Agency stressed that the project itself became known at the end of the summer.
“Subsequently, we spent several months working with the investor about the site, business plan, product type, production volume, helped him calculate the economic efficiency of the project when working within our preferences” - Andrey Betanov said.
It is expected that the launch of the production process will take 3-4 months. The volume of investments is 3 million 200 thousand euro. In general, the Italian business will be the extension of the investment "success story" after the Romanian, Austro-German, Ukrainian, Bulgarian projects.
“This is definitely a good, meaningful result. In less than half a year of constructive work, we have a significant amount of both ongoing projects and those that are being worked out. This is quite substantial, a good convention and a good amount of investment. We are currently talking about contracted 10 million euro investment that will go into our economy” - Andrei Betanov said.
