Tiraspol, December, 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council targeted the state program «Preservation of the PMR Immovable Cultural Heritage Objects Demanding Urgent Repair 2019-2021» at the first reading. It was developed by the State Service on Culture and Historical Heritage at the request of the Government. The head of the department submitted the main theses of the program at the plenary session of Parliament.
The document provides restoration, capital repair, reconstruction and improvement of 25 immovable objects of the cultural heritage which demands urgent repair. Among them, there is a monument to Alexander Suvorov in Tiraspol, a memorial to Afghan soldiers in Bendery, objects in the Dmitry Rodin Park in Chobruchi, the Tower of Winds in Stroyentsy. In the same list there are 20 monuments to the victims of the Great Patriotic War.
The total financing of the state program is, according to Maria Kyrmyz, 5.1 million rubles.
However, as the government employee noted, today 137 objects of historical and cultural heritage need repair. According to the State Service on Culture, all in all, 2,123 objects are registered officially, the most part of which (1,804, or 85%) are archaeological monuments.
