Tiraspol, December, 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry expressed an opinion on the OSCE foreign ministers’ statement adopted today on the Pridnestrovian settlement process in the “5+2” format.

“The annual adoption of the resolution with individual ritual components does not have a significant impact on the ongoing negotiation process, since the document does not take into account the objective reality that has developed over 28 years of conflict and does not reflect Pridnestrovie’s position as an equal party to the “5+2” international format, demonstrating a subjective understanding of the parameters of the conflict final settlement” - the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry stated.

Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry proceeds from the assumption that the normalization of relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova should be based on the principles of equal rights, mutual respect, good neighborliness, taking into account the democratically expressed will of Pridnestrovie people, as well as on the provisions of the UN Charter, the Helsinki Final Act and the International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion, regarding modern precedents of the newest states recognition.

Attention is also drawn to the “counterproductive attempt to determine the work rhythm of the negotiation process, including the meetings of the “Permanent Conference ... ”, directly dependent on the achievement of specific results in the bilateral dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.”

“We consider it fundamentally important to emphasize the subsidiary responsibility of all international participants for the situation in the relations between Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Moldova, especially in connection with the position or specific actions of external participants directly influencing dialogue atmosphere and dynamics” - the statement says.

The Foreign Ministry paid special attention to the provocative theses of yesterday’s speech by the Moldovan Foreign Minister in Milan regarding the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester and security issues in general.

“The attempted attack on the stabilizing Russian peacekeeping presence in Pridnestrovie contradicts the agreements reached in the negotiation process, has nothing to do with real interest in preserving peace and normalizing relations between the parties to the conflict, and also discredits one of the most responsible co-agents in the “5+2” format” - stated in the ministry.

Pridnestrovian foreign ministry calls upon the MFAEI of the Republic of Moldova to abandon meaningless security speculations, and focus on fulfilling Moldovan commitments in the framework of the negotiation process aimed at improving the social and economic conditions of the citizens in two states.
