Nearly 44% of this amount accounts for food, which also includes alcoholic beverages. Non-food products were sold to the amount of 1.855 million rubles, which is 56.2% of the total retail volume.
But the services market, on the contrary, shrank by 2.5% (adjusted for inflation), amounting to 1.104 million rubles. As noted in the ministry's report, this was caused including by socially oriented policies which approved tariffs for natural monopoly services.
