Tiraspol, 26 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The development of the country's strategy for 2019-2026, initiated by President Vadim Krasnoselsky, was discussed at a government meeting.

"It is necessary to understand how the PMR will develop, how the standard of living will change, and the economy will develop as a result of [implementing] the instruments that we are offering today. They include fiscal, monetary and investment policies," said Prime Minister Alexander Martynov.

Heads of cities and districts were instructed to draw up five-year development plans for their territories, the government's press service reports. According to Alexander Martynov, the potential investor, coming to a settlement, draws attention to the condition of streets, infrastructure, the possibility of non-cash payments.

Earlier, a government decree had formed a working group on the development of an eight-year development programme, which included Supreme Council members, representatives of ministries, government agencies, the Public Chamber and the Pridnestrovian People's Forum.

As Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Turcan noted, now the attention of specialists is focused on the structure of the voluminous document, the main guidelines of which would be political stability, economic self-sufficiency and social justice.

"Each subsection will be composed of several components, for example, in the field of macroeconomics, monetary or tariff policy. The first part will tell about the trends and the current situation; the second part will outline the problems; the third will cover the target indicators and development strategies; the fourth part the main measures or tools that must be used to ensure the implementation of those targets," said AlexeyTurcan.

The prime minister agreed with that proposal option and called on the group not to delay the work process.
