Tiraspol, 6 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Considering Pridnestrovie's non-recognised status and the problems that arise in cross-border trade, it is necessary to think carefully about the development of those industries that do not require border crossings," said the head of the international relations office of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Anton Moskalenkov.
"These are nonmarket spheres: services and such new industries as blockchain economy, cryptoeconomy. We are ready to share Russia's experience in digitalising the economy," said the Russian expert.
According to him, it is equally important to develop an investment infrastructure, both material and non-material.
"Another important aspect is the provision of industries with personnel. I was very pleased to hear that Pridnestrovie was working seriously to reform the educational system. Several years ago we faced a shortage of hi-tech professionals in Russia," said the expert.
He noted that equipment and technologies were rapidly changing and very often the educational system did not meet the needs of the business.
"It is also important to have regulatory mechanisms. The Pridnestrovian government has made significant progress in 2017: they have adopted a large number of legal acts which abolish excessive regulation," noted Moskalenkov.
Moskalenkov underscored that the Russian expert community backed the economic and structural reforms conducted by the country's leadership.
"It should be noted that the new team in the PMR, the team of president Krasnoselsky, are using absolutely new approaches to creating business conditions, and we welcome the work that has been started and has been conducted in an active and consistent way," added Moskalenkov.
The Pridnestrovian delegation headed by prime minister Alexander Martynov is on a working visit to Moscow. This is a return visit by representatives of various governmental agencies and enterprises.
In early September, Business Russia representatives visited Tiraspol. An agreement was signed back then to delegate a Pridnestrovian representative to Business Russia and organise a return visit.
Russia will be represented at the forum by the Agency of Strategic Initiatives, Ministry of Economic Development, transnational corporations, Russian Railway, etc. Pridnestrovie, in turn, will be represented by its industrial flagships: KVINT, Tirotex, Kamenka Canning Factory, Intercentre Lux and others.
The programme of the visit includes round tables on the development of business cooperation between our country and Russia, as well as signing a three-sided memorandum on mutual understanding and cooperation. The topics to discuss will include issues of industrial and agricultural cooperation.
