Tiraspol, 13 Novemeber. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The members of the Community for Democracy and the Rights of Nations adopted a special statement during a session of the Interparliamentary Assembly in Tskhinval. They recognised acts of terrorism, regardless of their form, as unjustifiable crimes against humanity.
"It is obvious that the terrorist threat is global and affects all countries and continents, claiming more and more human lives. That is why the fight against the proliferation of terrorist manifestations requires the most active consolidation of efforts of all international entities," the Supreme Council's press service cites the excerpts of the statement.
The community members appreciated the efforts of the Russian Federation to prevent terrorist acts, eliminate hotbeds of terrorism and express confidence in the exceptional importance and efficiency of the Russian military operation in Syria. They believe that such activities require broad political support from all members of the international community.
The community members expressed their readiness to fully cooperate with Russia in the fight against terrorism, including ensuring stability in the Caucasus, as well as in the joint cross-border work to counter the formation of new terrorist networks, agitation and recruitment, including in south-eastern Europe. The members noted the existing substantial legal and regulatory framework in the three countries to regulate joint action to prevent and combat organise terrorism.
"In this context, the continuous modernisation and development of the established practical mechanisms of interaction that already allow for the coordination of existing efforts and the exchange of relevant operational information are of particular importance," says the statement.
