Tiraspol, 19 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During the discussion "Integration processes in today's world" held at the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students, a member of the Pridnestrovian delegation talked to the well-known Russian politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
He told about the difficult conditions faced today by Pridnestrovie, where many people identifying themselves with Russia live. As the young Pridnestrovian noted, many young people who were born after 1992 experience difficulties in obtaining Russian citizenship.
"In the meantime, they are Russian people who think and speak Russian. They have to get passports of other countries," he said.
According to him, there are over 300,000 Russian citizens in Pridnestrovie. Pridnestrovian women who have Russian citizenship are also entitled to the so-called maternal capital, but it is difficult to receive it, the Pridnestrovian said.
"I ask you, as the patriarch of the Russian legislature, as the patron of Russian speaking citizens abroad, to pay special attention to these issues," said the young man.
Taking occasion, while the audience was applauding his speech, he handed Vladimir Zhirinovsky a miniature Pridnestrovian flag. To do that, he went up to the stage and approached Zhirinovsky.
The Russian politician appreciated the young man's courage and determination. With characteristic impudence, Zhirinovsky said that he had advocated and would continue to advocate the reunification of Pridnestrovie and Russia, as well as the distribution of Russian passports to all Pridnestrovians.
