Bendery, 16 August. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Celebrations dedicated to Russia's National Flag Day will take place in Bendery on 19 August. They will be organised by the memorial complex Bendery Fortress, Pridnestrovie's Youth Parliament and the artistic association ART-pokhod, BTV reports.
Visitors are invited to come at 4 pm. Photozones, artisan and craftsmen shops, historical costumes for hire, a shooting range and horse riding will be available in the fortress.
The public is expected to take part in a flash mob entitled Living Map, during which each will be able to indicate on the Russian map the cities where he or his family members have been.
The fortress will also host Bogatyrs' Games — a competition organised by Pridnestrovie's powerlifting federation.
The historic dance club Vernisazh will open a fancy-dress ball. The Orchestra of the General Staff of the Defence Ministry will give a concert.
The organisers promise holiday fireworks that will light up the sky over the fortress at 9 pm.
