Tiraspol, 15 August. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Ministry of Social Protection and Labour has published a report on the amount of subsistence minimum in July.
Thus, the subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population was 1,475 roubles, including 1,519 roubles for men and 1,428 roubles for women.
The subsistence minimum for children under the age of six was 1,283 roubles, and for children under 15, it was 1,553 roubles. On average, it was 1,426 roubles per child and 1,379 roubles per capita.
The reduction in the subsistence level, according to the ministry, was mainly due to a decrease in the value of the food basket by 2.2% and the cost of compulsory payments and charges by 1.5%. According to the State Service of Statistics, the inflation rate was 0.34% in June.
The subsistence level is the valuation of a minimum set of foodstuffs, non-food items and services necessary for the preservation of human health and livelihood. It also includes mandatory fees and charges.
