Head of government meets a foreign company representative

The company has requested the government to allocate agricultural land of 1,500 hectares for cereal cultivation

Tiraspol, 30 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Prime minister Alexander Martynov and agricultural minister Efimy Koval held a meeting with the foreign company representative Alexey Azarapin. The meeting was also attended by deputy prime minister for legal regulation and interaction with state bodies Stanislav Kasap, heads of Slobodzeya and Grigoriopol districts Vasily Tischenko and Oleg Gabuzha, the government's press service reports.

The company has requested the government to allocate agricultural land of 1,500 hectares for cereal cultivation. Efimy Koval noted, however, that Pridnestrovie's needs in such production were satisfied. Today, the republic is interested in developing meat and milk production, cattle breeding, fruit crop cultivation, food processing and the canning industry.

«We are interested in social issues. A large part of the population should be engaged in production. We have to create jobs," said the minister.

Meanwhile, according to Alexey Azarapin, the foreign investor is ready to invest in the development of the village.

«We are ready to invest the maximum amount of funds in the village budget if we reach the anticipated expectations, including large fields, a functioning pumping station and a small distance from Tiraspol," said the businessman.

The government will consider the investor's proposal to make a further decision.
