Tiraspol, 20 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The natives of Tiraspol, Vadim and Peter Balan, have signed professional contracts with the Major League Baseball club Minnesota Twins.
Earlier the brothers trained at baseball academies in Italy, Germany and the Netherlands, to which the best European players are traditionally invited, the website of the State Agency for Sports reports.
In 2016 Peter Balan as a member of Russia's junior national team won silver in the European Championships and also took part in US-based tournaments. Having shown great skill, the player was invited to Russia's national team to participate in the European Championship.
Vadim and Peter are currently in spring training in Florida, preparing for the 2017 MLB season.
