Tiraspol, 10 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Vadim Krasnoselsky met a delegation of the Turkish embassy to Moldova, the president's press service reports.
«Pridnestrovie and Turkey have traditionally enjoyed good relations. Today we have real proposals for cooperation with the Turkish side, and we'll be glad to cooperate with you in popularising the history and culture of Turkey in Pridnestrovie," noted Vadim Krasnoselsky, welcoming the Turkish delegation.
According to the president, besides cultural ties, Pridnestrovie is interested in developing economic cooperation with Turkey.
The Turkish ambassador, Hulusi Kilic, confirmed readiness to develop bilateral contacts.
«Today we will have an opportunity to get to know each other and discuss future projects," said the ambassador. In particular, the sides discussed the prospects of implementing a number of joint projects to restore the historical infrastructure of the Bendery Fortress.
An important topic of discussion was the process of normalisation of relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. «It is interesting and helpful for us to know your opinion. We welcome all mediators and observers, even those who do not directly participate in the '5+2' format," underscored Vadim Krasnoselsky.
The Turkish ambassador wished Vadim Krasnoselsky fruitful work as president. «Your position is very important for Pridnestrovie's development. Strong and friendly ties have been established between our nations; therefore, we want very much everything to be good here," said Hulusi Kilic.
Besides diplomats, the embassy delegation included representatives of Turkey's business community.
