Tiraspol, 23 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A provision from President Krasnoselsky's People's Programme on free natural gas for vulnerable social groups will be given a legislative framework. The committee for economic policy has approved today the corresponding transitional provisions in the 2016 budget law and recommended them for consideration in two readings. According to the committee's head, Alexander Korshunov, the parliament will consider this draft law during the next meeting, which takes place next Wednesday.
A similar amendment will be made to the 2017 budget law, which is being currently drafted.
According to Korshunov, 100% benefit will be granted for natural gas consumed within the established limits. It is 27 cubic metres per month for cooking. In case an individual household is heated by gas equipment, this will additionally include 140 cubic metres per month in January, February, March, October, November, December.
Korshunov noted that despite the fact that the draft law is being considered nearly one month after the start of the year, it would be deemed in effect since 1 January 2017.
