Tiraspol, 20 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council's praesidium has proposed today to schedule parliamentary by-elections on 2 April 2017.

The exact date of the by-elections will be set by a special decree of the Supreme Council, which has already been drafted and will be considered at a plenary session on 28 December.

As we have informed, three MPs had to resign in connection with taking up posts incompatible with parliamentary activities. On 11 December, Vadim Krasnoselsky was elected president of the PMR. On 17 December, the Supreme Council confirmed Alexander Martynov as chairman of the government and Vladislav Tidva as head of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank

The by-elections, in the meantime, may be held not only in the precincts that were represented by Krasnoselsky, Tidva and Martynov, but also in some others.

Yesterday, Vadim Krasnoselsky signed a decree approving the structure of the government, and if any MP joins it, he will have to resign as well.
