Pridnestrovian athlete Vladimir Letnikov takes the 38th place at the Olympic Games

Tiraspol, August 17. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. One more Pridnestrovian took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The athlete Vladimir Letnikov competed in the triple jump qualification, men.

As it is reported on the website of the Sport State Service, Vladimir ranked 38th of 48 among the athletes taking part in the competitions and jumped at 15 meters 29 centimeters. It wasn't enough for our athlete to qualify for the final.

The athlete from the USA Christian Taylor had the best qualification result — 17 meters 24 centimeters.

At the moment, the medal count of the Olympic Games is headed by the United States of America. They already have 28 gold, silver and bronze medals. Russia ranks fourth having 12 gold and silver medals and also 14 bronze.
