MFA hosts delegation of British Embassy

The sides discussed progress in implementation of a number of common welfare projects

Tiraspol, August 12. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pridnestrovie's Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Palamarchuk met with the delegation of British Embassy headed by the Charge D’affaires ad Interim of Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Republic of Moldova Neil Martin.

Within the dialogue, Dmitry Palamarchuk and Neil Martin discussed progress in implementation of a number of common welfare projects and also the current situation in negotiation between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.

As the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry reports, the railway communication perspective was a key conversation topic. In particular, Dmitry Palamarchuk expressed concern about refusal of Moldova to hold scheduled meetings between the expert (working) groups on the issues of railway communication and transport and has pushed for more intensive involvement of the diplomatic bodies in order to resolve this situation. It was noted that those continuing unilateral actions of RM and Ukraine don't comply with the letter and spirit of constructive negotiations.

Also, the issues concerning the bank blockade of Pridnestrovie and possible assistance through the Embassy of Great Britain in working out of the realistic ideas aimed at permission of the problem were raised.
